Japanese excitement machine BUDDHADATTA return to Australia early in 2026, touring nationally with the release of their debut full length vinyl LP

If you have seen Buddhadatta on stage you will have know their reverence for Buddhism by their what the wear and the topics of their songs, inspired by practising, throat-singing Buddhist monk / band leader, Vogli Bonze. Bass player Seiko engages almost the entirety of the audience with constant eye contact as she swathes her samurai bass. Drummer Takami, sits up back: cool, calm holding the strong, loud beat that he has perfected from his years in legendary Japanese underground bands.

Together, they are a smile on the face, move the body, life affirming experience that is so welcome in our lives.

With their debut full length vinyl album, Buddhadatta has committed 9 tracks of well honed and well loved songs from their live set. As such this is almost a greatest hits package, from a band that we are all just discovering!
